The fabulous talented Bollywood director makes a verdict on the people of Bollywood that they are jealous of him. Was it an aftermath of his success of winning a National Award for his social drama “Kanjivaram”? Being a successful director in South India he can even claim that the people in Bollywood would be jealous of him. Because it is quiet different for a south Indian director to understand culture, norms and tradition of Bollywood and Northern India. But there is one thing to be noted that he is commonly doing the remake of his older movies of the Mollywood (Malayalam Film Industry).

Priyadarshan is the best comedy film director of India today. He says that it was unfortunate for him to be successful in Bollywood for the last 12 year and over 25 films. It would naturally make the other south Indians jealous since no other south Indian has ever been as successful in Bollywood as he is. Priyadarshan claims proudly that he is the only successful south Indian director in Bollywood. Though it is a fact, we have to wait and see whether it was out of confidence or overconfidence.

The next project Priyadarshan takes up is along with the hero of Ghajini – Amir Khan.. It is a realistic project, a movie on Aids. It deals with the sickness and all the social and cultural problems that come after Aids. The Priyadarshan – Amir Khan film is a challenge for Priyadashan to prove that he can direct serious movies other than comedies. The challenge and strictness will probably give a tough time to who crew of the Aids film including Amir Khan. Priyadarshan might even be trying to get a national award for the same as the theme of the film has possibilities.
